We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes.

I can't say enough good about this doctor. I'm so glad I had this appointment with her. Now I'm going to pursue what I need to do with confidence I did not have previously. Janette is a tax lecturer with Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI), the Irish Tax Institute (AITI) and Griffith College Dublin. This wonderful doctor zeroed in on those concerns without me having to articulate them, then explained the medical logic that had gone into why I needed to take care of certain concerns but without the urgency that had been previously pushed on me. I had had an appointment with a urologist that had left me with many concerns. I particularly loved that she explained some medical issues that were tangential to my gyn concerns. The doctor anticipated several of my questions, answered those that I had come with, and then DISCUSSED some concerns I had, answering with suggestions that were perfect for me. This was the BEST first appointment I've ever had.
